Yesterday the three of us went into Munich to do a little shopping and to visit a new art gallery - the Brandhorst.
The Brandhorst building is very impressive, with its unique colourful facade and its light, airy rooms with incredibly high ceilings. Lucy felt very motivated after walking around to produce her own art. The main rooms have been filled with huge paintings by Cy Twombly which drew uncharacteristically critical comments from Mike. I was just relieved that he thought the same as me - that our daughter could do better.
And that's just what she did. Lucy presented us with tickets to her "xebischen" this morning and for one cent we were allowed to tour her drawings and sculpture and ask for explanations. We even bought a couple of her works and hope that they will appreciate in value over the years.
