Knitting and nattering

The wool shop

Knit one, purl one
This year's annual knitting trip went to Regensburg. We were five ladies, replete with knitting projects. The train had those six-person compartments, so we bagged one of them, cracked open the sparkling wine and dug out the chocolates... and knitted until Regensburg. Bliss!

The hotel was right next to the station and only 10 minutes from the city centre, so it didn't take us long to locate the wool shop. We were so rapt! These days, knitting shops are full of more than just wool and cross-stitch packs. There are fridge magnets, knitting bags, kits for pom-pom hats and all sorts of cool stuff. I came away with two new projects and was very content.

We tend to go to places where there are lakes or rivers. Regensburg was no exception. We hopped on a boat for an hour or so and knitted while taking in the sites and information. I love these trips!
