Isn't he gorgeous? He's smaller than Thingummy. Although Thingummy is a male, we originally thought he was a female ... and haven't got out of the habit of calling him "she". Mike says that any self-respecting male turtle would not behave in the scaredy, girly way that Thingummy behaves. But you haven't seen Wotsit! Give him his dues though, he has only been with us 36 hours, so it's no wonder he's still rather nervous. Hopefully he'll settle in quite soon. In the meantime, we have been scrutinising our pond with a view to blocking all potential turtle-escape-routes.
