May has been a dreadful month for weather. We have had practically three weeks of rain and cold - even had to turn the heating back on. when Mike went to Disneyland in California for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Conference, even the weather there was unseasonally wet and chilly.
Anyway, the rain has made our garden grow and the peonies have just started to bloom. They are called Whitsun roses in German, quite timely as we now have Whitsun holidays. The temperatures are climbing again and we have already been paddling in the Ostersee, not far from Starnberg lake.
We had fancied going camping this weekend, but the forecast isn't good enough, so we hope to have a trip into town to see an architecture exhibition featuring a structure made by Mike's company on one of their machines. Then we need to make the pond escape-proof so that Thingummy and Wotsit can enjoy some time outdoors.
