| A night on the Notkarspitze |
Mike here. Last Friday, I took Belka for her first mountain-top sleepover. It was the hottest day of the year (so far), 36°C in Krailling, so we were glad to be ascending in the slightly cooler hours of the early evening. We reached the summit of Notkarspitze (1889m) in time to enjoy the sunset, and had the mountain to ourselves as we slept under the stars. The following morning began with a beautiful sunrise, after which we pursued an increasingly warm traverse over five mountains. We arrived back home mid-afternoon and spent the remainder of the day resting in the shade.
