Mike received a bottle of Slyrs Bavarian malt whisky from me for Christmas, with a note that it included a trip on the train down to Schliersee, a tour around the distillery, follwed by lunch in a pub. Epiphany, being a public holiday, gave us the opportunity for this little trip. Lucy was busy with friends, so it was just me, Mike and Belka.
There were spits of snow as we walked from the station around the lake to the distillery, but it brightened up a lot in the afternoon, giving us great views on the walk back along the hills via the ruins of a 14th-century castle.
