Finzbachklamm - a "gentle" hike

Belka loved it
For a bit of Sunday exercise Mike suggested that we go out to a gorge he's fond of - the Finzbachklamm. It's in a place called Wallgau, near to Walchensee. He thought it would be a Steph-friendly distance and gradient. He was right, too. As you can see, we walked across lush, green meadows and ascended stony stairs and earthy paths to reach an impressive look-out spot.
When Mike said right, that was it, what did you think of it, I was astounded! That was a very short hike indeed. He described the options from there: go back to the car and perhaps stop at a lake, or continue further to a side valley with pools and do a circular route back. I wasn't tired and the latter sounded good, so we hiked a bit further and turned into a little side valley, then hopped over some boulders and found a lovely place to eat lunch by the river and take a dip in the cold water. It was a lot of fun. Belka seemed to enjoy it, too.
The way back to the car was a lot longer than I'd expected, plus it was getting hotter all the time. My legs were quite tired once we reached the car (not surprising after 15 km), but there was a cafe right next to the carpark, so we ate an ice cream sundae each before driving home.
