| Wonderful scenes of the Oktoberfest |
The pond which Mike had made in our back garden back in 2008 sprang a leak a couple of years ago, so we got the local landscape gardeners to instal a new, heavy-duty, leak-proof pond. Our garden pig seems to like the new version at least as much as the old one, and we hope the damselflies will appreciate it next spring as well.
Nigt hike
Last weekend, Mike and Belka took advantage of the good weather to hike up a mountain by moonlight and see dawn from the summit. It is rutting season, so the woods were full of the noise of red deer stags roaring loudly, but unfortunately they didn't see any as it was dark.
New garb
In the summer we went to a Dirndl and Lederhosen factory outlet to get Lucy kitted out. She didn't find anything in that particular shop, but we did! We first wore the clothes a few weeks ago at our neighbour's 60th birthday party in the Oktoberfest Museum. Here we are at the Okotberfest proper enjoying the atmosphere of the final day.
