In an attempt to reduce our carbon footprint and drive less, we have dug out our old bike trailer and repurposed it for transporting Belka. She is a little nervous about riding in it, but we're making it as comfortable for her as possible. Hopefully she'll get used to it soon and realize that it can take her to places like beergardens, where the reward of roast chicken awaits.
On Saturday, I joined a group of ten on Ammer Lake to do a little stand-up paddling. While I was on the water, Mike and Belka walked along a lakeside path to admire some impressive sculptures and keep an eye on us paddlers.
Lucy spent the weekend celebrating her 17th birthday with friends at Lake Starnberg and a day later at a music festival in the city. Only a week to go and she'll be off to Las Vegas again to meet up with the friends she made on her year abroad.
