Steph & I treated ourselves to a weekend away at a dog-friendly hotel in the Bayerischer Wald last weekend, close to the Czech border. Lucy decided to stay at home and concentrate on her school work (revising for exams etc.). In between large tasty meals in the hotel restaurant we went out for walks in the local countryside. The high ground was snow-covered while the valley was largely snow-free, so we had a variety of terrain. Belka enjoyed herself running and rolling in the snow, and got to meet some other dogs. At mealtimes she sat under our table, quietly hoping for titbits. One of our outings was to a wildlife park which has wolves, lynx, wild boar etc. Most of the animals seemed to be hiding, but we did see a couple of moose and some fresh bear tracks.
