Mother's Day

Today was Mother's Day in Germany, and we were able to enjoy the day in warm sunshine. Our little village of Krailling had its first market Sunday ever, with shops open, entertainment of all sorts and lots of stalls selling food and handicrafts, plus a flea market. The new library building was open for show, though the books won't be moved in until June or July. It was a lovely day.

Lucy's current pastimes are standing on her head, and skipping (we often have arguments when she ignores our ban on skipping indoors). Thingummy and Bob have not being getting enough UV rays, so we put them outside a lot now and let them swim in the pond for a short time each day. The water is still relatively cold for them to be living outdoors yet, but the air temperature is just right. Our garden is totally in bloom, and our teeny lawn, in keeping with our origin, is dense and very green (finally!)
