I'm afraid I haven't got a New Year's photo because Mike's new camera had to go back to the shop due to a malfunction. But with so many fireworks going off last night at midnight where we were, the smoke would have obscured the pictures anyway. We had a fun evening with friends, lit a few rockets and bangers to welcome in the New Year and put Lucy to bed at about 1.30 this morning.
And welcome to the world, baby Frances, who arrived by stork at 9.30am British time at Wendy and my brother Phil's house in York today. Mother and baby are doing well, but I believe Phil is exhausted and has had to go and have a cup of tea and a lie down. Well done, Wendy and Phil!
