We spent the weekend in minus lots-of-degrees, with snow all around, but with sunshine and lovely views. We dragged sledges up to a hut on Saturday in the Chiemgauer alps and, while the men and the kids were digging snow caves all around the hut, we women stayed in and drank coffee and schnapps. We didn't make the kids stay in the snowholes, though - we let them sleep indoors.
After a night's sort-of-sleep, we sledged back down the mountain, and WHAT fun it was! We all expect to have croaky voices tomorrow from having squealed and screamed so much on the steep bits.
