Beaver alert!

Beware of the beaver

Sunrise

Frosty morning
Our local river, the Würm, now has resident beavers in the stretches just north and south of Krailling. The evidence of their activity is easy to spot, and the sign says "Warning bitey beavers - don't go in the water and keep dogs away from the bank!" Unfortunately, the only such specimen that Mike has managed to spot so far was a stuffed one, but if he sees a live one then I'm sure he'll take a photo of it.

With it being December, the sunrise photos were taken some time between 7.30 and 8 o'clock, so Mike didn't actually have to get up too early to enjoy the spectacle.

Yesterday, 6 December, was Nikolaus - the day when German children wake up to see if their shoes have been filled with sweet treats because they've been good, or coal because they've been naughty. Lucy discovered that a chocolate Santa and a unicorn onesie had been left for her.
