Mike's pocket camera, which he used to take most of the blog photos with, started playing up, so he went out and bought a new one. He was very impressed to discover that it has a better zoom than the old one, as witnessed by the picture of the full moon, taking by balancing the camera on our balcony.
The next day, while taking Belka for a walk across a bridge over the river Isar, he spotted a dipper diving in and out of the water, and was able to photograph that as well, although it was several metres away. So don't be surprised if you see more wildlife photos on the blog in future.
Lucy visited the Grand Canyon at the weekend on a trip organized for the exchange students staying in the Nevada region. She sent us some impressive pictures.
