The animals are getting closer

They're all around us!

It seems the hedgehogs in our street and garden were just the start. Now the local beavers have bitten off and stolen the decorative trees that Krailling council planted just around the corner from us a few years ago. Steph was down the road in Stockdorf this morning and also saw fresh evidence of beaver-inflicted damage to some mature trees.
While Mike and Belka were hiking at the weekend, they turned a corner and Belka came snout-to-snout with a big, fat badger that was coming the other way. Belka barked (as she does, when shocked by unexpected creatures) and the badger turned around and trotted off down the path while Mike was (typically) still fumbling for his camera. However, thanks to his super, new, zoom lens, he was still able to get a picture of it climbing up the other side of the valley.
