Belka's advent calendar

As mentioned in the previous post, the beavers in the neighbouring village of Stockdorf must be either hungrier or cheekier than their friends in Krailling. Along the banks of the river Würm, where we often walk Belka, they have not only removed lots of the smaller trees, but have also taken to biting all the bark off the big trees. Presumably tasty for the beavers, but not good for the trees.
The foresters in our local woods are being more artistic in the way they deal with tress, as we keep seeing impressive carvings in the stumps of trees that have been felled.
Belka is having a lot of fun helping to open, one by one, the little packages that her friends delivered to her for advent. They contain tastier treats than we ever give her, so I hate to think what is going to happen once all the packages are empty...
It has snowed once this week, about a couple of centimetres as you can see above, but it's not quite a winter wonderland yet. We hear snow is due to hit Britain next week, though. Will you have a white Christmas?
