Here are just a few pictures from this week. Mike and I went to the Yello concert on Tuesday. They are a Swiss duo who were particularly successful in the '80s. They unfortunately didn't manage to fill the Olympiahalle, but rumour has it that the Bayern München v Paris St Germain match was to blame for stealing potential concert-goers.
Yesterday, Lucy went to Death Valley with Courtney and her grandparents. Even in December, the daytime temperature there is 20°C or higher. The white road you can see through the middle of the right-hand picture is actually salt.
We have been really amused to see our nieces and nephews posting pictures of themselves having fun in the snow in Britain today. It's great to walk out into a winter wonderland. We have slush at the moment and very icy winds.
Our Christmas decorations are up. We've been recycling old bits of tree and are proud of the outcome. Mike has been quite handy with the saw, and the pompoms were my contribution!
